Festival of Egri Bikavér on the day of St. Donat
During 7-8-9th July 2006 will be organised the Festival of Egri Bikavér on the day of St. Donat in Eger, Dobo square. This year will be exceptional as we celebrate the 10th Anniversary of the Festival.
Visitors will experience a real wine-gastronomy gala! This is a unique programme in Hungary, where we wish to introduce the harmony of food and wine with the participation of the best 15 restaurants and 26 wineries in Eger. The three - day - long "bikavér flood" takes place in a nice baroque milieu, its aim to make more people get acquainted with Egri Bikavér and bring back its good reputation.
The programme, - starts at 4.00 pm and finishes at midnight - will be coloured by numerous musical performances, concerts and awards.
