Demjén

This little village is situated 10 km far from Eger on the South-west. It is easy to reach from the direction of Road 3.

The brook coming from Szalók flows through the village at the edge of Laskó. The hot spring, flows down in a beautiful and untouched environment leaving limestone deposits, can be seen and reached from Demjén.

Demjén is one of the villages saving old traditions. Grapes have already been planted here since 1712. The traditional farmhouse of Demjén is ridge-roofed, three-divided and built with rafter and squared timber, the front side is richly decorated. The building of still-standing baroque church was started in 1777.
